Household Hazardous Waste such as batteries, cleaners, pesticides, and leftover paint, can pollute our waterways and need to be properly disposed of (and not put down the drain or into the garbage). Central San, the agency that cleans our wastewater in central Contra Costa County, provides the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility (HHW) for Central San customers. The facility is conveniently located at 4797 Imhoff Place in Martinez (near 680 & HWY 4) and is open Monday-Saturday from 9am-4pm. The HHW is celebrating its 20th Anniversary this October with a Collection Drive from October 16th – 21st. Bring your Household Hazardous Waste to the HHW during this week for prizes and giveaways.
